Building on the established lineup of general-grade, high-strength reinforced, and flame-retardant silicone rubbers, we further expand the high-end functional material ecosystem with the official launch of our brand-newCeramic Silicone Rubber. Tailored for mission-critical fire-rescue power supply circuits and emergency life-support wiring systems, this innovative ceramifiable silicone rubber grade fills the high-end technical gap of traditional flame-retardant materials that fail to maintain circuit integrity under prolonged high-temperature fire exposure. It upgrades passive fire prevention to active fire-resistant circuit guarantee, completing the full-closed-loop safety protection layout of the entire silicone rubber product series for industrial cables.
The core advantage of Ceramic Silicone Rubber lies in its dual-performance integration of extreme climate adaptability and high-temperature in-situ ceramification protection. In conventional daily operating environments, the material retains the inherent premium performance of premium elastomers with outstanding ultra-wide temperature stability. It can stably maintain excellent elasticity, soft flexibility, stable electrical insulation performance and intact mechanical structural strength in the extreme temperature range from -70°C low-temperature frost and cold environment to 200°C long-term continuous high-temperature working condition. It will not harden, crack, age or deform in severe cold northern outdoor environments or high-temperature heat-radiating workshops, fully meeting the long-term normal service requirements of power cables in all seasonal climates and complex factory working conditions.
Once encountering sudden extreme thermal hazards, the material triggers an intelligent self-protection mechanism instantly to achieve efficient ceramification reinforcement. When the ambient temperature rises above 350°C for long-term flameless baking or suffers direct flame erosion exceeding 600°C intense fire impact, the outer layer of the rubber compound rapidly undergoes physical and chemical phase transition to form a dense, hard, high-strength integrated ceramified protective shell in situ. The ceramic shell is compact in structure, high in compression resistance and non-collapse at high temperature, which can effectively isolate external flame spreading, high-temperature heat conduction and molten metal splash impact. Most importantly, the whole-layer insulation structure remains intact without breakdown or leakage current, permanently locking the core power transmission function of the cable.
The newly upgraded TC9711 Fire-resistant Ceramifiable Silicone Rubber model is professionally calibrated and positioned for the core supporting manufacturing of medium and low-voltage special fire-resistant wires and cables in the industry. It is specially recommended for core wire insulation wrapping and cable inner comprehensive protective layered structural design. In the event of building fire, chemical workshop explosion and electrical cabinet combustion accidents, it can build an unbreakable high-temperature fire insulation barrier in milliseconds, ensure that emergency fire fighting power supply, evacuation indicator circuits and linkage alarm systems keep powered on normally for a long time, avoid safety accidents such as circuit open circuit, equipment shutdown and fire spread caused by cable burning, and greatly improve the passive safety protection level of building electrical engineering and industrial fire control facilities.
In terms of industrial production compatibility and engineering delivery efficiency, this ceramified silicone rubber keeps the same excellent extrusion processing performance as conventional silicone rubber materials. It is perfectly compatible with existing cable continuous vulcanization units, multi-layer co-extrusion production lines and automatic stranding and wrapping processes. Cable manufacturers do not need to add new equipment or adjust complex process formulas, realizing rapid mass production and seamless switching of finished cable delivery. While meeting national and international fire-resistant cable industry certification standards, it balances cost performance and mass production stability.
At present, our silicone rubber product portfolio has fully covered ordinary mechanical type, high-strength fumed reinforced type, environmental flame retardant type and high-end ceramified fire-resistant type. In the future, we will continue to focus on the extreme safety needs of special scenarios such as fire emergency, high temperature resistance and dynamic bending, continue to develop multi-functional composite modified silicone rubber materials, and provide global cable customers with one-stop full-working-condition elastomer material solutions to escort the safe and stable operation of global power transmission systems.
